Best Apps for Travelers
When planning a trip, especially to another country, it is good to prepare yourself earlier for possible difficulties to avoid unnecessary stress and nerves.
Without further ado, below you can find a list with the most useful apps along with their short description.
1.Currency Converter Plus
First of all, you can still use it if you are offline, so even is there will not be any WIFI near to you, it will not be a problem.
You should instal this app ESPECIALLY if you are visiting a country with high inflation.
I believe is always good to know how much money (in your own currency) you will exactly spend on your vacation.
2. Citymapper
The application contains the most visited cities by tourists in the whole world. It will tell you how to get from point A to B using various transportation methods. You can also check there estimated journey times, travel costs and current timetables.
3.WiFi Map
You will find here a database what gathers all places providing wifi. Thanks to this application you can connect to a free WiFi network almost everywhere.
4. Moovit
It’s a free public transit app what allows you to navigate public transit networks with GPS navigation across transit modes, including (and not only) buses, ferries, trains, trams, or trolleybuses. You can also access a live map, and view nearby stops and stations based on your current GPS location.
5. AroundMe
Looking for a petrol station nearby? Or maybe for a cash machine? This app will make your life easier 😉
It has a database that collects all points/ places, divides them into categories, and in relation to your GPS location shows the nearest you currently are looking for.
6. MAPS.ME – Offline
It’s an application that provides offline maps. You do not need WIFI to use it. Thanks to this app you will never get lost. I think that this is “must-have” for everyone who rents a car.
That’s all, at least for now. I hope that you found this post useful, if yes you have my blessing to share it 😉
